Could you please mention which plugin is not functioning properly?

Also what is the editor (and which editor are you using) displaying?

Oh I see now.
JB Type is a shortcode plugin for inserting styled objects and icons, right?

By default on the editor you will not be able to see the end result like eg: images.
This is due to the face that the editor in Joomla! does not render content plugins.
In Joomla! (in general) you can only the result of similar plugins in the frontend.
